This Summer The Transylvanians
Take Manhattan

LATEST NEWS: The memorabilia auction is always a hilight of any Rocky Horror convention. The auction at the New York City Convention will be no exception. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Have a Heart Childrens Cancer Charity of Levittown, NY. Some of the items up for auction include:

  • The seven and a half foot square posters used on the front and the back of the float in the NYC Gay Pride March to promote the convention.
  • Original Mick Rock 8x10s from the set of Rocky Horror.
  • An original 40x60 Rocky Horror legs poster (very few of these are still in existence)
  • Rare Rocky Horror related LPs including: German, Brazillian, and a copy of the Roxy album signed by the original cast
More items will be listed soon.
To give the guests that are coming in from out of town a flavor of NYC we took some preliminary sightseeing photos for you. See Brad, Janet, Riff and Rocky tour around midtown and show you some of the sights. You can send the photos as e-postcards to your friends and "wish they were here".

Would you like to write a shout out to one of your friends? Send a message to that special someone? Insult someone anonymously? Nows your chance with the NY Rocky Con Boosters. For a mere two dollars you can get 75 words in the program on the boosters page. Click here for more information
If you are attending the convention for the full weekend and are interested in our Sunday softball game during our bagel brunch in Central park, let us know what position you are interested in. Click here to sign up
Sadly the midnight screening of the movie will no longer be held at the Zeigfeld theatre. Clearview Cinemas management will have a new location for the midnight screening that we will announce shortly.
On June 27th come on down to the New York City Gay Pride Parade where, thank you to our sponsors gaybarz.net, the NYC Rocky Horror Convention will have a float! Cast members from both NYC Cast and Home of Happiness will be representing and handing out flyers for the convention.
The New York City Rocky Horror Convention has joined together with the Have a Heart Childrens Cancer Charity of Levittown, NY. All proceeds from the convention are going towards improving the quality of life for children suffering from cancer. The charity is dedicated to collaborating with hospitals, medical centers and other children’s organizations in order to assist patients and their families with medical bills, treatments, equipment, transportation needs and other overwhelming expenses.

Sadly Christopher Biggins is no longer able to attend the convention. However we have a few additional guests attending in his stead:

Steven Calcutt - Played the tall transylvanian in the movie. He also played one of the aliens in the cantina in Star Wars as well as being a stand in for Darth Vader and Chewbacca.

Lindsay Ingram - Played the pretty transylvanian with the red shirt. She can also be seen in the wedding scene as one of the attending guests.

Henry Woolf - Not only can he be seen as one of the transylvanians, but he is most prominently known as the photographer in the wedding scene.

Gaye Brown - She was seen as "The Crazy Orange Haired" transylvanian in the film. She also has extensive theatre experience with the Royal Shakespeare Theater Company.

Scott Michaels - Author of "From Concept To Cult" Scott was invited to talk about his experiences writing the book. He will have copies of it for sale at the convention.

Richard Hartley - The music composer for the Rocky Horror Show and the film. He was one of the original 5 people to whom the entire Rocky phenomenon can be attributed. (thank you to Cosmo for getting us in touch with him!)
